Select a Car

TOWSAFE will create a table of results, based on the car and caravan you have selected and your level of experience. The match is assessed in four main areas:

	(1) The Caravan's MTPLM expressed as a percentage of the Car's kerb weight. (2) The Caravan's MTPLM expressed as a percentage of the Car's towing limit. (3) The combined weight of the Caravan's MTPLM & the Car's max. gross weight as a percentage of the gross train weight as stamped on the Car's VIN plate. (4) The laden Caravan's calculated noseweight as a percentage of the Car's quoted noseweight limit.

A green panel indicates a good match; amber calls for caution in that particular category; red indicates that the match is unadvisable and possibly illegal.

* Pre August 1998 models also get results based on the caravan's actual laden mass. Post 1998 this is no longer legally permissible.
